Our system has the following options to allow people to complete questionnaires:
- They can have access to a secure web area (on-line)
- They can receive an e-mail with an attached questionnaire.
- They can receive a questionnaire by post with a SAE for return.
From experience the majority of higher level managers have either access to the web or personal e-mail addresses. But, if the intention is to include lower grades of staff, internet access and e-mail can be a problem.
Our solution is to use a postal approach as and when appropriate at no extra cost. This way all levels can be included in the process.
It is not unusual for us to deliver questionnaires for single appraisal with a combination of all the above; Senior Managers on-line, Middle managers by e-mail and front-line staff by post.
