| icskills.com 360 degree appraisal process was initially developed in 2002 to support a ‘culture’ change programme.
The original design for the process was based on the need to accomplish five key deliverables:
The individual feedback had to be easy to understand, focused and highlight individual and organisational development needs. The administration of the process needed to be simple and if possible be outsourced. The questionnaires would need to be distributed / collected by post, on-line and by e-mail to allow people with no access to technology to be involved. The process needed to provide immediate composite management information reports. The whole process, questionnaires, reports and output needed to be flexible.
On behalf of the client we conducted research to engage a provider who could deliver all the above. Several could do some but none could do all with the required flexibility at an achievable cost.
After several months of research and an increasing level of client frustration icskills.com was commissioned to custom design a process to meet the client needs. As a business consultancy we created a 'mission' statement for the new enterprise - "Whatever" - although initially for fun, the mission statement has become our primary approach to working with new and existing clients.
Following the creation of the process, several other large clients have adopted the process, all with different requirements. The process and use continues to develop to meet ever changing client requests.
